Antique stones ANTIQUED JERUSALEM SIZES: Random x Random x 2 - 3cm These ancient stone floors originated from quarries in the Southern Hebron Mountains near Jerusalem. The stone was used for floors in public buildings, courtyards and private houses for many hundreds of years, beginning from Roman times. The quarries themselves have long since been closed and the stone is no longer produced. The striking smoothness and patina of this stone result from centuries of wear. This has given the stone a gentle colour and texture, which never could be achieved by machine or by hand.  |
